Gi\u00e0 da teenager, infatti, comincia ad esibirsi assieme ai migliori sound system di Birmingham.<!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bergamoreggae.org\/bgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/bittymclean.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3560\" title=\"bittymclean\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bergamoreggae.org\/bgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/bittymclean.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dopo aver frequentato la scuola per ingegneri\u00a0 del suono in un college locale, comincia a collaborare con i leggendari UB40, prima come sound engineer\u00a0 e successivamente come produttore e corista occasionale.<\/p>\n<p>Negli anni 90 divenne popolare grazie ad alcune cover di classici quali: \u201cDedicated to the one that i love\u201d dei The Shirelles ,che si posizion\u00f2 al numero 6 delle Charts inglesi e \u201cIt keeps Raining\u201d dei Fat Domino\u2019s , che arriv\u00f2 fino al numero 2.<\/p>\n<p>La visibilit\u00e0 ottenuta grazie a questi due pezzi gli permise di aprire i concerti di altri importanti gruppi inglesi quali :Wet Wet Wet e Simply Red.<\/p>\n<p>Nel 2004 esce con l\u2019album \u201cOn Bound Street KGN.JA\u201d , un album dal suono molto vintage.<\/p>\n<p>La splendida voce di Bitty ,infatti, si abbina perfettamente ai classici ritmi Rocksteady\u00a0 di etichette leggendarie quali Tresure Island o Studio 1.<\/p>\n<p>Uno dei pezzi di maggior successo fu \u201cWalk away from\u00a0 love\u201d, nella quale riadatta un testo di David Ruffin sul mitico riddim di \u201cRocksteady\u201d di Alton Ellis.<\/p>\n<p>Nel 2007 vola in Giamaica per registrare l\u2019album \u201cOn Bound Street\u201d.Il disco venne realizzato con la collaborazione di Sly and Robbie nel loro studio \u201cOne Pop\u201d di Kingston e fu un successo mondiale.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bergamoreggae.org\/bgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/bitty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3562\" title=\"bitty\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bergamoreggae.org\/bgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/bitty-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"286\" height=\"286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bergamoreggae.org\/bgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/bitty-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.bergamoreggae.org\/bgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/bitty-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.bergamoreggae.org\/bgr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/bitty.jpg 333w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 286px) 100vw, 286px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>La sua\u00a0 incredibile voce e l\u2019originalit\u00e0 del suo stile \u201cold school\u201d ne fanno uno dei migliori Reggae-singers al mondo sia Live che in Dj Style.<\/p>\n<p>Attualmente sta lavorando ad un nuovo album e all\u2019uscita di un dvd contenente le immagini della sua tourn\u00e8e mondiale assieme a Sly and Robbie and the TAXI Gang<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bitty Mclean nasce nel 1972.
