Comincia la sua carriera a met\u00e0 anni \u201960, registrando alcuni brani rocksteady per i principali produttori del tempo, come <em>Prince Buster<\/em> e <em>Joe Gibbs<\/em>, per poi passare alla <strong>Studio One<\/strong> di Sir Coxsone Dodd.<\/p>\n<p>Nel 1970, dopo alcune hit come <em>\u201cMy queen\u201d<\/em>, <em>\u201cLove me forever\u201d<\/em>, <em>\u201cPlease stop your lying\u201d<\/em> e <em>\u201cLove broche\u201d<\/em>, fonda assieme a Gregory Isaacs l\u2019etichetta African Museum, e quindi la Silver Ring. Nel 1972 incide due dei suoi pi\u00f9 grandi classici: <em>\u201cKeep the pressure on\u201d<\/em> e <em>\u201cBlack cinderella\u201d<\/em>. Lo stesso anno collabora poi con Sonia Pottinger per la realizzazione del suo album di debutto <em>\u201cPresenting Errol Dunkley\u201d<\/em>, che include la stupenda <em>\u201cA little way different\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Negli anni successivi incide poi le hit mondiali <em>\u201cMovie star\u201d<\/em> e <em>\u201cOk Fred\u201d<\/em> che gli permetteranno di diventare uno degli artisti jamaicani pi\u00f9 famosi al mondo, alla stregua di Jimmy Cliff e Bob Marley.<\/p>\n<p>Voce suadente e stile inconfondibile ne hanno fatto una vera e propria icona del genere ed oggi, dopo 13 dischi e innumerevoli singoli, l\u2019artista \u00e8 pronto a regalare alla Bergamo massive uno show intenso e emozionante accompagnato dalla belga Asham band.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Errol Dunkley, nato a Kingston (Jamaica) nel 1951, \u00e8 considerato uno degli artisti jamaicani pi\u00f9 importanti della storia del reggae.
